International Conference on Healthcare and Trade Rotterdam
On 10-11 December 2009 the Erasmus Observatory on Health Law of the institute of Health Policy & Management of Erasmus University Rotterdam will organize the International Conference on Healthcare and Trade in Rotterdam. The conference will focus on the influence of the law of both the European Union and the World Trade Organization on trade in health services, health insurance services and pharmaceuticals. In particular, issues regarding competition, intellectual property and parallel trade will be discussed. Keynote speakers are Labonté (University of Ottawa), Ross (University of Sussex) and Pauwelyn (Graduate Institute Geneva). The Conference aims to provide an international forum for discussion for lawyers, economists and policymakers in the health care, health insurance and pharmaceutical sectors.
