Bio
After graduating from Health Sciences at the University of Maastricht, where I majored in Science & Technology Studies (STS), I did my PhD at the Law & Public Policy centre at the University in Leiden (in the end obtaining my PhD from Twente University). Spending three years at the Cultural Sciences Faculty in Maastricht between 1998 and 2001, I then moved on to the Institute of Health Policy & Management. There, I first headed the Research on IT in health care practice and management (Rithm) group before, in 2006, becoming the chair of the Health Care Governance group. Currently, I also function as Director of Education, being responsible for all the undergraduate and graduate programmes of the institute.
